So how was your Thanksgiving dinner ? I had a great time with a my folks and friends. We had roasted turkey with cranberry, 'Gobblin good' thanksgiving salad, Pumpkin Nutmeg Dinner Rolls, garlic mashed potatoes, cranberry pie and pudding. Yummy! Everyone enjoyed the sumptuous Thanksgiving food and had two to three helpings for each dish. There has been some leftovers of the turkey. Since today is Turkey Leftover Day, my mom is planning to make Creamy Turkey Pie with it on this .

If you have forgotten to wish someone on Thanksgiving, it's not too late. Wish him or her with these Myspace Belated Thanksgiving Comments and ecards.

Hey, today is Turkey Leftover Day. Almost in every home there remains some leftovers after the Thanksgiving Dinner. One can make delicious dishes even from the leftovers. You can make Turkey Stock or Basic Leftover Casserole or a Turkey-Pasta Toss.
But always be careful in keeping the leftovers and take the necessary precautions.
Wish someone on Turkey Leftover Day with these MySpace Turkey Leftover Day comments.

Hey, it's Thanksgiving Day! Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. Thanks for reading my blog. Hehe... My cousins along with uncle and aunt arrived from New Jersey. The others will arrive in the evening for the Thanksgiving dinner as they all stay nearby. I hope that I will have as much fun as I had on Thanksgiving 2006. So are you all having a Thanksgiving party with your loved ones? Or is there anyone who is missing the near ones on this beautiful ceremony. But don't worry buddies, it's our feelings that bridges the distances with our loved ones. Hey all! The voting results of the National Thanksgiving Turkey is out!. The name of the Thanksgiving Turkey is May and it's alternate is Flower. Yahoo! I voted for May & Flower! They got 24% of the vote. The turkey and it's alternate got pardon from the President George W. Bush. This has been the 60th year of National Thanksgiving Turkey presentation. The current ceremony started way back in 1947 when President Harry Truman was first presented with the National Thanksgiving Turkey.

Have you started the cooking for the Thanksgiving dinner? We are going to start the preparations today. We plan to make the soup , pumpkin pie, shrimp stuffing and pudding by tomorrow. For the first time, I will help my mom in the kitchen. I hope I won't burn my hand in my venture. Hehe...I learn a easy tip for making moist, delicious Turkey meat. Here it is:

Brining a turkey is the easiest way to have a soft Turkey meat. Just take sufficient amount of water and put salt in it. Whisk the salt into the water. Take double nonporous bag or plastic roasting bag and put the raw Turkey into it. Put the salt water in such a way so that the whole turkey is immersed in it. Make sure there is almost no or little air within the bag and tie the mouth of it tightly .Keep it in the fridge for 8-10 hrs. If it does not fit in the bridge then put in ice cooler.

Though the other name of the Thanksgiving Day is Turkey day, don't think that the Vegetarians don't celebrate it! Wish someone who is vegan with these funny cards.

Hey, have you voted for the name of this year's National Thanksgiving Turkey? If you haven't , then hurry up. The result is going to be declared tomorrow! Visit the official site of the White House and vote. I was a little confused. So I voted two names.

National Turkey Federation Chairman Ted Seger, supervised the raising of 2007 National Thanksgiving Turkey and its alternate. These turkeys are from from Dubois, Indiana and the 21-week old turkey, is expected to weigh about 45 pounds when it will be brought to Washington.

I was hit upon some great quotes on Thanksgiving Day. I felt like sharing it with you. Here they are:
  • Thanksgiving is the holiday of peace, the celebration of work and the simple life... a true folk-festival that speaks the poetry of the turn of the seasons, the beauty of seedtime and harvest, the ripe product of the year - and the deep, deep connection of all these things with God. ~Ray Stannard Baker (David Grayson)
  • Thanksgiving Day is a jewel, to set in the hearts of honest men; but be careful that you do not take the day, and leave out the gratitude. ~E.P. Powell
  • Remember God's bounty in the year. String the pearls of His favor. Hide the dark parts, except so far as they are breaking out in light! Give this one day to thanks, to joy, to gratitude! ~Henry Ward Beecher
  • Thanksgiving Day comes, by statute, once a year; to the honest man it comes as frequently as the heart of gratitude will allow. ~Edward Sandford Martin
  • Thanksgiving comes to us out of the prehistoric dimness, universal to all ages and all faiths. At whatever straws we must grasp, there is always a time for gratitude and new beginnings. ~J. Robert Moskin
  • What we're really talking about is a wonderful day set aside on the fourth Thursday of November when no one diets. I mean, why else would they call it Thanksgiving? ~Erma Bombeck, "No One Diets on Thanksgiving," 26 November 1981

You can get more quotes online that can be used in the cards or invitations. After all, not all the time we can find the right words to express our thoughts. So what's wrong in borrowing the words of other great men? Hehe...
